Location: Silverdale, Washington

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday with 1-2 weekday and weekend call shifts, night call 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in general cardiothoracic and thoracic surgeries including open procedures
Perform coronary artery bypass surgery on pump and valvular repair or replacement
Manage adult patients in acute care and ICU settings with 5-10 patients per day
Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
Insert central lines and provide comprehensive post-operative care
Support the surgical team with 1-2 surgeries daily and collaborate with physicians and midlevels

Qualifications

Certified Physician Assistant (PA) required
Cardiothoracic surgery experience in both OR and ICU management
Washington state license highly preferred, will consider candidates who obtain during credentialing
Clean malpractice and background check highly preferred
EPIC EMR experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiothoracic surgery and OR experience
ICU patient management and acute care skills
EPIC EMR proficiency
Ability to handle 5-10 hospital patients daily and 1-2 surgeries
Excellent communication and collaboration with support staff
