Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $75 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a close-knit rural hospital setting
Triage patients and confidently manage labor progression including Pitocin titration
Serve as the primary nurse catching babies and supporting smooth newborn transitions
Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe deliveries and positive birth experiences
Support postpartum mothers with education and recovery guidance
Float occasionally to med-surg when needed to help the broader hospital team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
Current NRP, ALS, and AWHONN EFM certifications
Comfortable functioning independently as LDRP nurse including baby catcher role
Willingness to work night shifts and rotating weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong LDRP and Labor & Delivery clinical skills
Experience with Pitocin titration and fetal monitoring
Ability to triage patients and manage low-volume, high-acuity births
Comfort working in a rural setting with limited on-site resources
Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to support med-surg when needed
