Roles & Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans as directed by supervising physical therapists
- Apply a variety of manual techniques and modalities to support patient recovery
- Modify treatments based on patient progress and communicate changes to the PT
- Document patient progress accurately and thoroughly
- Educate patients and caregivers with individualized guidance
- Maintain competency through ongoing education and in-service opportunities
Qualifications
- Active Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant License
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of PTA experience
- Strong clinical problem-solving and communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Physical therapy procedures and treatment implementation
- Manual techniques and patient education
- Clinical documentation and progress tracking
