Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert stroke evaluation and treatment to help patients regain their voice and confidence
Deliver compassionate swallowing and language therapy that makes a real difference in daily living
Collaborate with a dynamic rehab team of OTs, PTs, and fellow SLPs to create personalized care plans
Utilize advanced tools like Vital Stim, AmpCare, MBSS, and FEES to deliver cutting-edge treatment
Document care accurately in Meditech Expanse while ensuring every patient feels heard and supported

Qualifications

Current Speech Language Pathologist license in Virginia
Minimum 2 years of hospital and inpatient rehab experience
Strong background in stroke evaluation and treatment
Comfortable working with AIDET communication standards and immediate service recovery

Knowledge & Skills

Hospital and inpatient rehab experience
Stroke evaluation and treatment expertise
Swallowing and language procedure proficiency
Familiarity with Vital Stim, AmpCare, MBSS, FEES, and Meditech Expanse
