Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate communication and swallowing disorders to create personalized care plans
• Deliver evidence-based speech, language and swallowing therapy to a diverse patient population
• Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists and family members to coordinate comprehensive care
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Provide training and education to caregivers and staff to support carryover of therapy goals
• Participate in care planning and discharge coordination to ensure safe transitions

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure or eligible for Massachusetts licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or current clinical fellowship completion
• Current CPR certification as required by facility
• Experience evaluating and treating adult and geriatric populations preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and facility onboarding quickly for an urgent start

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in adult dysphagia assessment and management
• Strong skills in expressive and receptive language therapy
• Comfortable writing clear, goal-focused documentation
• Skilled in working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) techniques is a plus
