Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care during the overnight shift, focused on comfort and safety
• Monitor and record vital signs, report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility) with dignity
• Document care accurately in the patient chart and communicate handoffs clearly
• Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (California preferred or eligible)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Comfort working overnight shifts and supporting a varied patient population
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous acute care or long-term care experience preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification in the applicable state

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient transfers, positioning, and safe mobility techniques
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with ADLs, feeding assistance, and toileting care
• Basic charting and electronic health record (EHR) competency
• Infection control practices and safe use of PPE
• Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize during busy shifts
