Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing) with compassion and dignity
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility to reduce fall risk
• Provide attentive, respectful care while documenting observations in a timely manner
• Collaborate with nurses and care team members to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity of care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification (California state credential required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks, TB screening, and any employer-mandated health requirements
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work 12-hour day shifts as scheduled

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and ADL (activities of daily living) support
• Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection prevention and proper hygiene techniques
• Safe patient transfer and mobility assistance
• Clear, professional communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs during a shift
