Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic patient care and support daily living activities
• Assist nursing staff with clinical tasks and follow care plans precisely
• Take and document vital signs and report changes in patient condition
• Support patient mobility and safety, using proper transfer techniques
• Maintain accurate charts and communicate clearly with the care team
• Help create a calm, respectful environment that preserves patient dignity

Qualifications

• Current and valid CNA certification in California (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per diem schedules
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled at taking vitals and recognizing basic changes in condition
• Infection control, hand hygiene, and standard precautions
• Patient hygiene, feeding assistance, and toileting support
• Basic charting and documentation practices
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Team collaboration and clear shift handoffs
