Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and personal assistance to students or clients
• Monitor and document vital signs and health status accurately
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, and mobility support
• Communicate observations and changes in condition to nursing or supervising staff promptly
• Support a safe and clean clinical environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Build rapport with students, families, and school staff to promote health and wellness

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in the state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working in school health or pediatric-focused settings
• Background check clearance and required health screenings or immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with taking and documenting vital signs and basic clinical observations
• Knowledge of infection control and standard precautions
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
• Comfortable working with children and adolescents in a school environment
• Team-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills
