Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory assessment, treatment and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia and emphysema
• Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation using Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Perform ABGs, CPT and aerosolized treatments including nebulizer, CPAP and BiPAP therapies
• Document care accurately in the EMR (Meditech) and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, patient-centered respiratory care
• Prioritize patient safety and participate in critical/trauma responses as needed

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience (explicitly required)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred by leadership
• Trauma experience is a plus and will be considered favorably
• Ability to work night shifts and collaborate within a fast paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management and ventilator modes
• Hands-on experience with Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Proficiency with ABG analysis, CPT, CPAP and BiPAP therapies and nebulizer treatments
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record
• Strong critical thinking, documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills
• Comfort working in a high-volume acute care setting with busy patient/procedure loads
