Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert peri-procedural nursing care during cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and neuro thrombectomy procedures
• Assess and monitor patient hemodynamics, responding quickly to changes and escalating when needed
• Support STEMI management protocols as part of an accredited STEMI center to help save lives
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the cath lab team to ensure smooth, efficient procedures
• Document care accurately and promptly using EPIC charting for continuity and safety
• Operate and assist with imaging equipment such as Philips systems and Merge Hemodynamics/CPACS during procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation, providing skilled clinical support during evenings and every-other-weekend coverage

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (required) and ability to submit licensure documentation
• Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (Cath Lab or cardiac/interventional experience strongly preferred)
• Familiarity with EPIC charting and cath lab imaging systems like Philips and Merge Hemodynamics/CPACS
• Comfort working in high-acuity acute care settings and responding to STEMI activations
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac catheterization and interventional procedure support
• Interventional Radiology and Neuro thrombectomy procedural workflows
• STEMI recognition and rapid intervention protocols
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Proficiency with EPIC charting and procedural documentation
• Use of Philips imaging equipment and Merge Hemodynamics/CPACS
• Sterile technique, infection control, and acute patient assessment
