Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in the urgent care setting
Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
Perform wound care, splinting, and basic procedures as needed
Collaborate with providers and clinical team members for smooth patient flow
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and charting
Respond effectively to urgent clinical situations and escalate appropriately

Qualifications

Active RN license (eligible to practice in California)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred or encouraged
Urgent care or emergency nursing experience is highly valued
Strong assessment, triage, and clinical decision-making skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced urgent care environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Completion of accredited nursing program and active RN license

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and urgent care protocols
IV starts, medication administration, and basic procedures
Patient assessment and clinical documentation in EMR systems
Infection control and safety best practices
Patient education and discharge planning
Efficient time management and multitasking in a busy clinic
