Location: Garrison, North Dakota

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends every other

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population in a combined ED and MedSurg unit
Titrate drips and monitor telemetry, reading EKG strips as needed
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care
Float to ED holds and assist with swing bed patients as required
Manage acute and swing bed patients with a 1:4 or 1:6 ratio
Serve as charge nurse when assigned and support team members

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of MedSurg experience
Comfortable titrating common drips and reading telemetry
Ability to work in a fast-paced, small hospital environment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Experience with NEBS, O2 delivery devices, and occasional transport vent use
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient volumes and unit needs
