Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, typical travel schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic surgery patients, including pre- and post-operative assessment and monitoring
Manage pain control and administer medications as ordered
Assist with mobility and rehabilitation protocols, including CPM application and early mobilization
Educate patients and families on surgical recovery and discharge planning
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes and a positive patient experience

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of acute care ortho nursing experience in a hospital setting
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state
BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work as part of a cohesive team

Knowledge & Skills

Orthopedic nursing procedures, including care of joint replacement and trauma patients
Experience with Meditech EMR system preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Positive attitude and dedication to patient-centered care
