Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with one day off per week, 36 hours/week

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to interventional radiology patients, including body IR procedures like chemoembolization, Y-90, GJ tube placements, IVC filters, and vascular access
Assist with CT-guided biopsies, ablations, ultrasound biopsies, thoracentesis, and paracentesis
Monitor and manage critical care and telemetry patients during and after procedures
Maintain sterile field during procedures and pass required SIMs lab skills (Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes)
Collaborate with IR techs, CT, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound techs for seamless patient care
Serve as charge nurse when needed and mentor new team members

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
Neuro IR experience is a must
Level I Trauma experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
Cerner EMR experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Sterile technique and maintaining sterile field
Dysrhythmia recognition (must pass exam prior to start)
Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (SIMs lab pass/fail)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
