Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to ICU patients, monitoring condition and intervening as needed
• Assess and document patient status, trends, and changes during overnight shifts
• Administer medications and treatments safely following hospital protocols and physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and transitions
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and support stabilization and advanced life support measures
• Complete required competency testing and skills checklists to maintain specialty certifications
• Float to acute care floors when needed to support unit staffing and patient care continuity

Qualifications

• Active RN license with verification (license/certificate verification required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Required health screenings and immunizations: fit test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, and a current physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care/ICU nursing knowledge and experience
• Proficiency with specialty competency processes and skills checklists
• Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills during overnight shifts
• Ability to work independently during night shift and collaborate across teams
• Flexibility to float to acute care floors when staffing needs arise
