Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care to patients across all acuity levels
Collaborate with a dynamic team of 50 RNs and 25 medics in a fast-paced 27-bed ER
Respond swiftly to critical situations including RSI, sepsis interventions, and stroke protocols with tPA administration
Manage patient ratios of 4-6:1 while delivering safe, attentive care
Coordinate seamless transfers to other facilities in compliance with EMTALA guidelines
Support patients experiencing psychiatric emergencies with empathy and professionalism

Qualifications

Active RN license in Virginia or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
TNCC preferred; ENPC, NRP, and NIH are a plus
Minimum 2-3 years of ER experience with at least 2-3 completed travel assignments
Comfortable working in high-acuity, high-volume emergency departments

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in emergency settings
Proficiency with Meditech EMR system
Ability to thrive in a relaxed, team-oriented environment
Experience handling central line placement and psych patient care
