Roles & Responsibilities

Administer safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by physicians
Monitor mechanical ventilation and manage airway for patients
Perform arterial blood gas draws and interpret results
Assess patient respiratory status and recommend appropriate interventions
Document all procedures accurately and maintain patient records
Assist with intubation and emergency respiratory support
Educate patients and staff on respiratory care techniques

Qualifications

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained within 90 days)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or obtained within 6 months)
Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care Program
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen

Education

Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) approved Respiratory Care Program

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in mechanical ventilation and airway management
Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in arterial blood gas analysis
Knowledge of cardiopulmonary equipment and troubleshooting
Excellent documentation and communication abilities
