Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient condition to provide safe, effective care
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
- Document patient care thoroughly in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and follow-up
- Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate changes in condition
- Maintain infection control and patient safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred or as required by unit
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and standard clinical equipment
- Strong teamwork, communication and patient advocacy skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of patient assessment and clinical judgment
- Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Effective verbal and written communication with patients and team members
- Competence in documentation and charting within EMR systems
- Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
