Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Monitor and manage titratable drips including insulin and cardizem
Administer chemotherapy and other specialized medications safely
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to same-level PCU and MedSurg units as needed to support patient care
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety
Utilize EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps to deliver efficient care

Qualifications

Active RN license with at least 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Open to first-time travelers who meet experience requirements
Valid driver's license required at time of submission
Must live outside the 50-mile radius of the facility

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of oncology and trauma PCU patient care
Experience with hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, A-line, and Swan-Ganz
Comfort with ventilator management and chemotherapy administration
Ability to titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem
Proficiency with EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pump systems
Excellent teamwork and communication skills across diverse patient populations
