Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift, 12-hour shifts (0630-1830), every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to step-down patients in a 55-bed PCU unit
Monitor telemetry and assess patient conditions, managing drips like Cardizem and PCA pumps
Collaborate with a tight-knit team of nurses, charge nurses, and support staff
Float to medical-surgical areas as needed, ensuring continuity of care
Conduct hourly rounding and respond promptly to patient needs
Document thoroughly using EPIC and utilize Alaris IV pumps

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
2+ years of PCU or stepdown experience
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
Telemetry competency and proficiency in EPIC and Alaris
Driver's license required at submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Experience with EPIC charting system
Proficient with Alaris IV pumps and mechanical lifts
Ability to manage a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Strong communication and teamwork skills
