Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 07-27-2026

End Date: 10-26-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced Med/Tele/PCU unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret strips, and titrate drips like amiodarone, heparin, and nitro
Collaborate with a dedicated team to manage patients with cardiac conditions, sepsis, COVID, and more
Float to PCU or Medical-Surgical units as needed to support the team
Read and interpret telemetry strips, ensuring timely interventions for arrhythmias
Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 (day) or occasional 1:5-6 (night), with PCU overflow 1:3

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state (NLC)
Minimum 2 years of PCU or stepdown experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience with telemetry and cardiac drips is a must
Epic charting experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in telemetry and cardiac nursing, including rhythm interpretation
Proficient in titrating common drips such as amio, cardizem, heparin, and nitro
Comfortable with Bipap, trachs, and high-flow oxygen devices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt quickly to a 32-bed unit with diverse patient populations
