Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 08-03-2026

End Date: 11-02-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend, self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population including oncology and trauma PCU/Med Surg patients
Monitor and manage hemodynamic stability, including titrating drips such as insulin and cardizem
Administer chemotherapy and other oncology medications with precision and safety
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and outcomes
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining the same level of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 2 years of PCU/Med Surg experience (oncology experience preferred)
First-time travelers welcome
Charge nurse experience preferred (minimum 1 year)
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Valid driver’s license required at submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC charting system
ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred but not required
Experience with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000) – can train on the job
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to care for oncology patients from diagnosis to end-of-life with dignity and respect
