Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to a diverse mix of PCU, Oncology, and Med Surg patients
• Monitor and manage patients with common drips including chemotherapy, heparin, and cardizem
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers to ensure holistic care
• Float to other PCU and Med Surg units as needed, maintaining the same level of care
• Perform hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to ensure patient satisfaction
• Adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment, caring for everything from oncology diagnoses to trauma PCU patients

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of PCU experience (oncology experience preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA)
• ONS/ONCC certification preferred
• Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
• Must be willing to float to Med Surg and PCU units
• A positive attitude and genuine desire to care for others

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in EPIC charting system
• Experience with titratable drips (insulin, cardizem) preferred
• Ability to care for ventilated patients and monitor hemodynamics (CVP, arterial lines) - training available
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexibility to adapt to a mixed unit with varying patient acuity
