Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 07-27-2026

End Date: 10-26-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced Med/Tele/PCU unit
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, titrate drips (Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, low dose Dopamine)
Manage patients with cardiac conditions, sepsis, pneumonia, and other acute diagnoses
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to PCU or MS as needed, providing full patient assignments or helping hands support
Utilize EPIC charting system to document care accurately

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state (NLC)
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Tele/PCU experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Proficiency in reading telemetry strips and titrating cardiac drips
EPIC experience preferred; first-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac and telemetry monitoring skills
Ability to manage PCU-level overflow patients (1:3 ratio)
Experience with Bipap, trachs, and high-flow oxygen devices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to float and adapt to unit needs
