Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Monitor and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem and beta-blockers while ensuring patient safety
Manage continuous EEG monitoring and respond promptly to changing patient conditions
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent outcomes for cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetic patients
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
Mentor and support nursing assistants while maintaining a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Ability to pass a 90% open-book skills exam during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Comfort with titrating cardiac and seizure medications
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
