Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start with variable shift lengths, plus call rotation including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $98 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist physicians during surgical procedures as the first assistant
Provide expert support across ortho, robotics, neuro, GYN, urology, vascular, and general surgery cases
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth case flow and patient safety
Float between campuses as needed to support operational demands
Respond to call within 30 minutes when scheduled
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR

Qualifications

Active RN license in California
BLS and ACLS certifications required
RNFA certification or equivalent experience
Strong experience in ortho, robotics, neuro, and GYN specialties
Ability to scrub and first assist in the operating room

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Cerner electronic medical records
Skilled in robotic-assisted procedures including DaVinci system
Comfortable with a wide range of surgical specialties from total joints to neurosurgery
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and call requirements
