Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplants
Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips equipment while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
Collaborate with a dedicated Charge Nurse and PCT team to maintain excellent 1:3-4 patient ratios
Float to sister telemetry units when needed, expanding your skills across Neuro Tele and other specialties
Complete required SIMs Lab training for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Support patients through pre-transplant evaluations, esophagectomies, and ER overflow situations

Qualifications

Current RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience preferred
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Cerner EMR experience a plus
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with up to two attempts

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac step-down and telemetry monitoring
Non-titrating medication drips and CPAP/high-flow oxygen management
Sterile field maintenance and infection prevention
Patient education for lung transplant and cardiac recovery pathways
Collaborative care with 24/7 pharmacy and respiratory therapy teams
