Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
Monitor vital signs and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with physicians and the care team to create individualized treatment plans
Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and recovery steps
Document care accurately using the Cerner system to ensure seamless communication
Float to the Emergency Department as needed to support the broader hospital team

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
ICU experience strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Comfortable working with a 1:5 day shift and 1:6 night shift ratio
Familiarity with Cerner documentation system
Ability to adapt quickly when floating to the ED
Navy scrubs to match the team vibe
