Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to adult patients with cardiac, vascular, and respiratory conditions
• Titrate and manage critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for patients requiring continuous cardiac observation
• Manage arterial lines and respond promptly when called in from on-call status
• Collaborate with nursing assistants to deliver excellent patient care with 1:4-5 nurse ratios
• Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level patient acuity
• Support patient experience initiatives through strong communication and responsiveness

Qualifications

• Active RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Competency in arterial line management
• Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
• Valid driver's license for radius verification
• Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts with every other weekend
• Flexibility to float to other units and adapt to changing patient needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
• Drip titration for cardiac and vasoactive medications
• Arterial line management and monitoring
• Care for patients with cardiac, dialysis, cancer, vascular, sepsis, respiratory, stroke, and renal conditions
• Strong communication and adaptability in diverse cultural settings
• Team collaboration with focus on patient experience and safety
