Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery patients
Monitor telemetry and manage stepdown patients with complex cardiac needs
Administer and titrate cardiac drips including phenylephrine, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinone, Cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, heparin, and nitroglycerin
Manage epidurals, chest tubes, and tube feedings with skill and attention to detail
Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes
Float to other stepdown or medical-surgical units as needed while maintaining top-notch care standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of stepdown and telemetry experience
Preferred: Prior CV surgery and vascular surgery population experience within the last year
Preferred: CVICU experience

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac drip management and telemetry monitoring skills
Experience with epidurals, chest tubes, and tube feedings
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with 1:5 patient ratios
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Team player who thrives on flexibility and collaboration
