Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM and 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements 1 night every 6 weeks including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
Monitor patients through both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
Respond to ICU patients recovering in PACU and interpret cardiac strips with confidence
Collaborate with the care team while floating as needed and assisting with lunch relief coverage
Maintain readiness for on-call shifts with a 1-hour response time

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
ED or ICU experience strongly preferred
Epic EMR experience a plus
Ability to work variable start times and participate in on-call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

PACU nursing expertise with Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery
Strong assessment skills for ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI cases
Comfort managing ICU patients in the PACU setting
Cardiac rhythm interpretation and strip reading
Epic documentation proficiency
