Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with 1 night per week on call and every 5th or 6th weekend on call

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert circulating and patient care across multiple surgical specialties including neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, GYN, and general procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure seamless operations in all service lines
• Support pre and post-operative patient care as well as PACU and ER trauma cases when needed
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and fingernail policy standards
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues while adapting to varied daily surgical schedules
• Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork in a fast-paced OR environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong experience in neurosurgery and all major surgical service lines
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Must live outside the 50-mile radius and not be currently employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, GYN, and general surgical procedures
• Familiarity with DaVinci robotic systems
• Experience in pre/post-operative care and PACU
• Ability to handle ER trauma cases when floated
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to educate and support colleagues
