Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for MST patients during the night shift
• Monitor and assess patient status, including telemetry and overnight changes
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and handoffs
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses clearly and timely
• Respond quickly and effectively to overnight emergencies and changes in condition
• Educate patients and families with empathy and clarity, even in the quiet of the night

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience or interest in MST specialty care (listed as primary skill)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred where applicable
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities for effective night shift collaboration
• Ability to work independently on per diem assignments and adapt to varied clinical settings

Education

• Active RN license required
• ADN or BSN in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid nursing assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Familiarity with telemetry and overnight patient surveillance
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Calm, decisive response to acute situations
• Patient education and family communication skills
