Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg pediatric patients
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Support families with education, updates, and empathetic communication
• Follow unit policies and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (MA license or compact where applicable)
• Experience or strong interest in Medical-Surgical nursing with pediatric patients
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; pediatric certifications (PALS) encouraged
• Ability to work per-diem shifts with a flexible schedule and reliable attendance
• Clean clinical record and ability to complete required orientation and onboarding

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Diploma in Nursing, or BSN required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and pediatric-focused Med/Surg knowledge
• Safe medication administration and documentation skills
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and team members
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm in busy clinical situations
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and basic charting best practices
• Team-oriented mindset and commitment to patient- and family-centered care
