Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe Med/Surg nursing care to patients across specialties including urology, gynecology, orthopedics, medicine, surgery, trauma, ENT, and vascular
• Perform thorough clinical assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Document all patient care accurately and timely in EPIC, ensuring clear clinical communication
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, transfers, and discharge planning
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly to the care team
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, post-op care, and discharge instructions
• Maintain required certifications and participate in unit quality improvement initiatives
• Support safe patient handling, infection prevention, and unit policies to ensure best outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license (please ensure Nursys license verification is uploaded)
• Minimum 2 years experience in Med/Surg or relevant specialty (urology, gyn, ortho, medicine, surgery, trauma, ENT, vascular)
• EPIC competency required — strong clinical documentation skills in EPIC
• Current certification cards and professional references available
• Complete work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days
• Profile must include demographic info and a badge-appropriate photo

Knowledge & Skills

• Med/Surg nursing fundamentals and acute care experience
• Clinical documentation proficiency in EPIC
• Experience with Nursys license verification and credentialing expectations
• Comfort caring for patients from multiple specialties (urology, gyn, ortho, trauma, ENT, vascular)
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced inpatient setting
