Bill Rate: $25,000 sign-on; $10,000 relocation; $25,000 annual geographic differential

Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver nursing care for long-term care residents using evidence-based practice
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings accurately in the EHR
- Administer medications and therapeutics safely and monitor resident responses
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Provide education and counseling to residents and families to promote healing and self-care
- Lead and supervise CNAs, LPNs, and other support staff; act as charge nurse when needed
- Respond calmly and effectively in emergencies and make sound clinical judgments
- Participate in staff orientation, in-services, and quality improvement activities
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (BSN, ADN, or Diploma)
- Current full, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska or another U.S. state (Direct hire must have applied for Alaska license before start date; agency staff must have an active Alaska license)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
- Clinical Competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years
- High Risk Competency required within 3 months of hire and annually
- Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform required physical tasks of the role
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing acceptable
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong nursing assessment, documentation, and care planning skills
- Medication administration knowledge including side effects and monitoring
- Infection control practices and emergency response capability
- Proficiency with EHR documentation and charting
- Ability to lead, delegate, and supervise interdisciplinary team members
- Good oral and written communication; able to educate residents and families
- Familiarity with basic and specialized equipment such as AEDs
