Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts with 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, nights Friday/Saturday or days Saturday/Sunday, may include on-call/standby with 30-minute response time

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care for laboring mothers and newborns in our Family Birthing Center
Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond to changes with confidence and skill
Titrate Pitocin and manage insulin drips to support safe deliveries
Catch the baby and provide immediate neonatal resuscitation when needed
Collaborate with OB physicians and anesthesia team during C-sections and high-risk births
Support mothers and babies through the first precious hours after delivery
Float to other Sacramento facilities when needed to help fellow teams

Qualifications

Active California RN license
Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
AWHONN Advanced EFM certification
At least 1 year of LDRP experience, 3 years preferred
Comfortable catching babies and providing NRP at delivery
Willing to work weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call shifts

Knowledge & Skills

LDRP nursing with fetal monitoring expertise
Neonatal resuscitation and newborn stabilization
Titration of Pitocin and occasional insulin drips
OR circulating experience for C-sections is a plus
Strong assessment skills for 35-week and above deliveries
Ability to follow AWHONN guidelines while adapting to unit needs
