Location: Dickinson, North Dakota

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling with every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate one-on-one care to laboring mothers and their newborns
Monitor and titrate critical medications like Magnesium and Oxytocin during labor
Support postpartum recovery and educate new parents on newborn care
Collaborate with the surgical team during C-sections while focusing on baby care
Respond quickly and confidently in a rural setting where every decision matters
Float to other units when needed to ensure patients never go without support

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Comfortable working independently in a rural hospital environment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Neonatal care
Experience with EFM systems and neonatal respiratory support equipment
Ability to titrate drips and manage high-risk antepartum patients
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability to limited resources and distance from tertiary NICU care
