Location: New Orleans, LA
Start Date: 04-03-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts; exact start/end times and specific days vary and will be provided by the facility (12-hour schedule, may include day and night rotations)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
- Continuously monitor, assess, and document patient status and respond rapidly to changes
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced interventions according to protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to implement patient-centered care plans
- Lead and participate in rapid response and code situations with confidence and clarity
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans with empathy
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to safety and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
- ICU experience or critical care training (experience in an ICU setting preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and prioritization skills
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and adapting to unit needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Ventilator management and respiratory support knowledge
- Telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring
- Medication administration and IV therapy expertise
- Electronic medical record documentation
- Rapid response and emergent situation management
