Location: New Orleans, LA
Start Date: 04-02-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night rotations); exact start/end times vary by schedule
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients
- Monitor and assess patients continuously, interpreting vital signs and advanced monitors
- Administer medications and titrate IV drips following unit protocols
- Respond quickly and confidently to clinical emergencies and code situations
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
- Educate patients and families with empathy and clear communication
Qualifications
- Current, valid RN license (Louisiana license or compact RN eligible preferred)
- ICU clinical experience (prior critical care experience highly desirable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or obtainable
- Comfort working 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced critical care environment
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in critical care patient assessment and monitoring
- Experience with ventilator management and advanced airway support
- Skilled in IV medication administration and infusion pump management
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively under pressure
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
