Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients with complex needs
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic, ventilator and other advanced monitoring data and act decisively
• Initiate and titrate critical interventions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Perform timely assessments, document thoroughly and communicate patient status during handoffs
• Participate in daily rounds, contribute to care planning and advocate for patient-centered goals
• Mentor and support colleagues and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or ability to obtain prior to start
• Critical care experience in an ICU setting; prior ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in high-acuity teams
• Current immunizations and required health screenings per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in assessment and management of critically ill patients
• Familiarity with ventilator management, invasive lines and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Able to prioritize under pressure and respond quickly to changing patient conditions
• Strong teamwork, communication and documentation skills
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and bedside monitoring systems
