Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult ICU patients including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory distress cases
Monitor and titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications with precision and safety
Manage ventilators from nasal cannula to full ventilator support while troubleshooting as needed
Interpret and document telemetry strips while collaborating with tele tech oversight
Float to PCU or MedSurg units when needed, maintaining excellent patient ratios and care quality
Collaborate with nurse aides and healthcare support techs to deliver seamless, team-based care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and not be currently employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Drip titration for cardiac, insulin, and sedation medications
Ventilator management from basic oxygen delivery to full support
Strong critical thinking and rapid response skills in high-acuity settings
Ability to float between ICU, PCU, and MedSurg while maintaining quality care
