Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Assess patient status continuously and intervene promptly when conditions change
• Coordinate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced monitoring devices safely
• Document care clearly and accurately in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and discharge needs

Qualifications

• Current RN license (ability to obtain or hold Hawaii RN licensure)
• Critical care experience in an ICU setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Up-to-date immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or diploma in nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive medication management
• Experience with ventilator management and respiratory support therapies
• Familiarity with critical care protocols, sepsis bundles, and rapid response procedures
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems for documentation and order entry
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to triage and escalate care appropriately
• Team-oriented mindset and conflict-resolution skills in high-acuity settings
