Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor and assess patient status, interpret data, and respond to changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocols
• Educate patients and families about conditions, procedures, and ongoing care needs
• Document accurate and timely clinical information to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Hawaii license preferred or eligible to obtain
• Previous ICU experience preferred; comfort with critical care equipment and monitoring
• Current BLS required; ACLS and other critical care certifications encouraged
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a patient-first mindset
• Willingness to participate in unit orientation and ongoing competency training

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Completion of accredited RN program and clinical training

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring skills
• Familiarity with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive drips
• Ability to prioritize and multitask during high-acuity situations
• Proficient documentation skills and electronic medical record familiarity
• Strong infection control and patient safety practices
• Compassionate patient/family communication and education techniques
