Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care across MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU units
Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics with confidence
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips independently while delivering patient-centered nursing
Collaborate with respiratory therapists and the care team to manage vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Float within a 60-mile zone to support facilities and fill scheduling gaps as needed
Mentor and precept new travelers during 1-2 day unit-specific orientation

Qualifications

Active Colorado or compact RN license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience; first-time travelers need 3+ years plus Epic experience
Comfortable floating between ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Telemetry units
Epic charting experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Epic electronic health record system
Skilled in managing CRRT, IABP, Impella, and other advanced ICU therapies
Strong critical thinking for rapid response and low-census call situations
Flexible and adaptable to changing assignments and floating requirements
