Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedule made 6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care across multiple ICU specialties including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin with confidence
Monitor and interpret telemetry independently while delivering 1:1 or 1:2 patient care based on acuity
Float within a dynamic 60-mile zone, adapting quickly to new units and patient populations
Collaborate with respiratory therapists and the care team to troubleshoot vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Support patients requiring advanced therapies such as CRRT, IABP, and Impella

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (3+ years preferred for first-time travelers)
Epic experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers
Comfortable floating across ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Telemetry units

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in critical care nursing and drip titration
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to adapt quickly to different ICU environments
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems
