Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Perform rapid patient assessment, triage, and prioritize urgent needs
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the EHR
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
• Maintain clinical competency in emergency procedures and protocols

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Prior emergency department nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and crisis management skills
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and successful NCLEX-RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid assessment in a fast-paced ED environment
• IV insertion, medication administration, and acute care nursing skills
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients simultaneously
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-family education skills
• Comfort with emergency protocols, code response, and trauma care basics
