Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and prioritize care in a fast-paced ER environment
• Administer medications, start IVs, and manage emergency interventions safely
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary teams to drive positive outcomes
• Document assessments and treatments accurately in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
• Respond to urgent and emergent situations with calm, decisive action

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Prior emergency room or acute care experience preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to pass standard background and drug screening
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
• Familiarity with EHR documentation and charting best practices
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple patients
• Clear communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Basic understanding of common ER procedures and protocols
