Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care to trauma patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center
Float between multiple facilities including main campus and free-standing ERs up to 30 minutes apart
Manage patient ratios of 1:4 while maintaining high standards of care
Perform Foley catheter insertion, central line dressing changes, and port-a-cath access
Utilize Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry monitors to track patient progress
Collaborate with a dynamic team of MDs, midlevels, and support staff

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of Level 1 Trauma experience required
At least 2 years of ER experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (ENPC does not replace PALS)
TNCC and ATCN preferred
Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting (2 attempts allowed)
Must have own vehicle and clean driving record

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in trauma and emergency nursing
Proficiency in Cerner EMR and telemetry strip reading
Strong sterile technique for central line and Foley procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
